For my final major project at University, I took my interest in the way in which people consume within retail environments further by examining Manchester's main consumer areas. With the increase in online retail, many consumers are now experimenting with products prior to purchasing them from the comfort of their home. It was clear that there was a decrease in occupied units along Manchester's most prestigious street; King Street.

"View" aims to revitalise this area of Manchester by inviting the public and industry executives to experience the new collections from three emerging fashion brands through a series of captivating fashion events. This not only provides the public with a completely different way of engaging with fashion, but this also gives the emerging brands an opportunity to present their ethos and journey directly to their customers. An exhibition of the journey that these brands take, to design and produce their final garments, has been designed to further engage the public with the brands, so they are inspired to purchase from the retail environment.

The three emerging fashion designers take residency within the main building where they have access to a range of facilities that will help them grow as a brand. The small retail environment exhibits the merchandise from the brands, and entices the public to purchase. By night, this building acts as a ticket office for the main fashion events that happen within the main building - further along King Street - accessible from a mysterious back alleyway.
